I sincerely hope this pilot will be picked up and I get to share Lana’s story with all of you.
I had the honor of recording Wildflower’s title song “Meie Elu” with gifted musicians Johanna Telander and Una Tone at the legendary Threshold Recording Studios. Johanna is a New York based Finnish composer who arranged this beautiful Estonian folk tune, accompanied me on piano and sang back up vocals. Una is a seasoned Broadway bound Latvian violinist who plays in the film as well.

This is what happened: one of the songs I decided to sing at the formal reception was about the meaning of being an Estonian. I held up a small flag, swung it in the air and sang by heart. Suddenly, in the middle of the song I saw a man standing up, grabbing a decorative flag from a flower arrangement while singing along.
